Description
This Colt Trooper MK III brings together classic Colt lines with the scarce electroless nickel “Coltguard” finish, giving it a soft satin sheen that’s more subdued than bright nickel but still distinctly upscale. The 6" barrel and full underlug profile offer excellent balance for offhand shooting, while the medium-frame size keeps it from feeling bulky. Factory checkered wood grips with silver Colt medallions complete the period-correct look.
Chambered in .357 Magnum, this 6-shot double-action is versatile enough for range work with .38 Special loads or full-power .357 for hunting and field carry. The electroless nickel finish was marketed as a highly corrosion-resistant option and is far less common on Troopers than standard blue, making this piece particularly attractive to Colt collectors. From the photos, metal and grips show only light handling marks with sharp rollmarks and clean edges—ideal for a collection that still gets shot.
